This show is blowing my damn mind. If you have watched anything from Nathan Fielder before, you know this guy is secretly a sociopath. The Rehearsal takes it to a whole new level where he is creating these massive, intricate simulations of peoples lives so they can prepare for a difficult real-life situation and have their preferred outcome to happen. That doesn't even scratch the surface of how batshit insane this show gets. Highly recommended to anyone who likes this sort of Andy Kaufman-esque social comedy.

I apologize. My friendly picking on you has clearly gone too far and made you angry. I'll stop.
Denying reality will do that. :)

Its hard to tell who is joking in text. Sarcasm lacks a universally agreed way of showing itself in Text as well.

Spending an entire week trying to get my PC to work normally put me behind with my course. I now have to do two weeks of course in a weekend just to get up to date.
Well, not all of it, as every week has about 7 questions and most weeks its really only the last two that take time to answer, the other ones can be done in minutes.

So last night I answered the easy questions from last week, and read this weeks reading - the reading takes longer than answering questions does. Mainly as I like to take notes.
Today I answered all of the easy questions of this week. And read part of next weeks reading to get ahead in it - Next week has two lots of reading which is a little ominous.
So really I only have 4 questions left to answer and two days to do it. And the 2nd part of next weeks reading, and a short course that won't take much to look through.

Next week is the last week of the unit but no one is going to chase me. So if I don't get them all answered this weekend, I still have a week.

Is @Frag Maniac still using his trackball?

That looks like hell (coming from the guy who likes to game with Trackpoint).

Got some heavily sickness induced brain fog going on right now. My oldest must have gotten sick on the last day of school, as he started displaying symptoms like Sunday or Monday. Unfortunately, my sister in law came into town on Tuesday with her three kids and the only place to stay is with us, so now it's about to be passed around. I picked it up and it's mostly been mild except for yesterday; better today, but again, still quite foggy and trying to mostly relax today so I can hopefully recover for tomorrow.

Tomorrow I'm heading to my friends house (hopefully early, we'll see how I manage. Also haven't been able to sleep lately, so my lovely wife has been thankfully letting me sleep in a bit) and finally after 6-years of rebuild, my engine is done and will be going back in my project car tomorrow. Looking for parts today, I found the necessary stuff (motor mounts), but one seems to be missing a bolt; not sure if it came out like that or not, but I'm kind of assuming it did, given I kept all the other bolts with everything else, so I dunno. Now I'm seeking help from JeepForum, which I basically haven't posted on in 6 years in order to figure out if I need to go digging for a missing bolt or not.

Whew, I'm tired. But, getting there! It's been 6 years since it came out, now it's finally back where it's supposed to be. I still have a lot of work to do, but I can at least steadily pick away at it and do little bits here and there as I feel up to it.

Top end is currently wrapped with painters tape so it doesn't collect stuff inside the motor while the intake is off. Next step will be to put my exhaust manifolds on, then reassemble my intake and reinstall that so the interior of the engine isn't open.

For some reason my dad wants to take us to 'Ye Olde Steakhouse' next weekend. Despite the kitschy name, they are pretty good and very excessive with massive meals even by American standards. Used to be the smallest steak you could get was 20 ounces, but now you can go down to 12.

I don't know if anyone has set a 20 ounce steak in front of you before, but it's either awe inspiring or intimidating, just depending.

And they start off by bringing you a ton of food before you even order. They drop off loaves of bread with butter, port wine cheese with crackers, and there was one more thing they brought, but it's been over 20 years since I ate there, and I can't remember what it was. It may have been cucumber-onion salad, which is called something that starts with "German".

Sounds amazing. I may have to make pilgrimage.

Is the cucumber salad like this one?

Started making this last year when I had loads of cucumbers from my garden and no lettuce to make a salad with. It's really good.

Every kid in my house (of which there are 5 currently) is sick and coughing. I mean, so I am I, but still. Had to miss a family BBQ yesterday so I could stay home today and will likely miss more events this afternoon and evening; it is what it is, but what it is is disappointing. Hopefully everyone recovers soon and we can get back to normal.

Honestly, that seems like a great way to get your meat for an entire week while getting a free dinner with it.

I hope ya'll feel better soon.

I've been off work since Ascension Day and my kid hasn't had school either, so I had planned to hang out together, but both my wife and I are feeling under the weather. It's been a struggle to try to entertain our kid for the past 4 days, who shows no signs of feeling ill herself.

I must admit we've done a lot of screen time, which I feel bad about but my wife isn't comfortable letting her go outside by herself yet and she's never been very good at entertaining herself for long periods of time at home.

Ye Olde Steakhouse'
I wonder if people would go there if it went by the other name... The Old steakhouse.
One just makes it look rustic but its just missing the thorne

The spelling "ye" comes from the Old English letter "þ", which was used to represent the sound "th". Later, the letter "þ" was replaced with "y," resulting in the spelling "ye"
Blame printing presses. They removed many of the fun letters.
ascii brought it back but its too late now.

I had 10 questions to do this week, 9 took 1 hour... I like when that happens. Means I can play catch up.

If I ordered the 20oz it would last me awhile. I've restricted my eating so consistently for the last couple of years that I couldn't even eat two slices of pizza last night

She should be about ready for Harry Potter. Or you could prepare her for the future with "The Palgrave Handbook of Critical Menstruation Studies".

Or not. Better go with Harry Potter.

Yep, but I would be surprised to learn that they put honey in it.

Hope everyone feels better. I wouldn't survive in that atmosphere anymore. I'm still struggling to breathe from my cold in April.

I remember getting a few BIG steaks down in New Mexico in the `80's big enough to fill up a full-sized plate. They were cheap, too. There were also burritos that were pretty huge. Must have been at least a pound, with a lot of it being diced steak.
I've been to a couple of those restaurants that had meals where if you ate the whole thing within a reasonable time limit then you got whatever the prize was. For the hamburger joint in NE Tennessee, you just didn't have to pay for the meal. The burger could have fed quite a few people. Then there was a steak place in Texas. Not sure how big the steak was or what you won if you succeeded. I was always tempted to try that burger one, though. I was a teenager and could eat quite a bit. This was a burger the size of a large platter, though. In retrospect there's probably no chance I could have eaten it all.

I must say that "a slice of pizza" is an almost meaningless quantity, considering the amount of variation in pizza slice sizes and volume.

My wife already introduced her to Harry Potter. I think we've watched the first two movies with her.

New York Standard would be classified as Extra Large on this:

it does vary in different countries, USA does seem to super size things.
Australia its 12 inches
