Question Build a Gaming Rig that randomly crashes without any apperant reason.. Why could that be?

Hey everyone,

First off my specs:

PSU: Seasonic focus GX 550W

Mainboard: Asus b450 Gaming II

Cpu: Ryzen 7 3700x

Cpu cooler: Alphacool Eisbaer Aurora 280

GPU: Asus ROG strip GTX 1080

Ram: Adata xpg spectrix 3000mhz 16 gb

NVME: Lexar NM620 1 TB

HDD: Seagate barracuda 2tb

My newly built PC is crashing without any apperant reason.. I have installed windows 10 Pro. And I even managed to install discord and steam. It ran fine and then crashed while playing, a few minutes later it crashed in Idle and sometimes it doesn't even wabt to boot. I have too turn off the power supply switch until the RGBs turn off and then I can "try" to reboot.

Sometimes it even crashes while in Bios.

Installed the drivers with driver booster. And turnt off c-state in Bios to no avail..

These are symptoms of a heat and/or power issue. Turning off the PSU manually indicates a failing PSU.

How old is your PSU?

Actually I bought it used so I am not sure..

Get rid of Driver Booster. Apps like that break more than they fix.

This sounds like a failing PSU. Swapping with a known good PSU would help to confirm.
