black screen 10-40 minutes into gaming no apparent fix

My PC wont run games stable without hitting a black screen 10-40 minutes into gaming. I took it to MicroCenter, they performed stress tests and claimed they couldn't get the PC to crash. I relayed it only happens when gaming. They ended up do a reimage on the PC so I basically just needed to install my games, check the drivers where up to date, etc. Well they were no help. I can't seem to find any culprits behind my issue. Temps aren't overheating when playing either. Im stuck on what to do. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

If you get the same problems on 2 different installs, its not windows. Its likely hardware.

  1. Does PC keep running when screen goes black or does it restart? If you not getting any BSOD its likely windows isn't seeing anything wrong.
  2. Try looking in Reliability History (Search Windows for it) and see if any errors mention GPU drivers. If you have to restart to get the picture back, its likely some of the errors will show as Hardware errors as Windows sees an unexpected restart as a hardware problem.
  3. have you tried taking GPU out and running off the integrated graphics on CPU, if only to see if you get the same black screens after 10 to 40 minutes - it won't look as good as the 7600xt but it may reveal if it is to blame or not... its a start anyway. If it still happens, you know its not the GPU
  4. Do you have the latest BIOS on motherboard?

I wonder what tests they ran.
Running this might reveal cause - https://www.ocbase.com/occt

None of the hardware choices are obvious causes.
Doubt its cause but you forgot to include storage drives.

what monitor are you using? Long shots but could be...
if its always same amount of time and only in games, its unlikely to be the Display port or HDMI cables.

check the drivers where up to date

latest chipset drivers?

what are you using to show temps?

I assume case has intake fans as just running with exhausts isn't ideal... I am guessing you have the 240 in the roof? Having used a 240 as intake in the front of a case, myself, I shouldn't assume but most people put them in roof as exhaust.

I see lots of people are getting Black Screens with your GPU, but it seems to be a lot of AMD cards, and since I have a 7900xt I figured I would have noticed it by now.

the two 8 pin on the GPU, are they two individual cables or 2 ends of the same cable? I can guess the RME has enough single cables to run them both as two cables. I had an RMx 1000 in my last PC and it could do it.

running on older GPU drivers 24.x.x from last year is also suggested. December drivers
