I got an email stating I was granted advanced early access starting tomorrow. I'll definitely find time to hop in... I know it won't be pretty, but it will be fun.

I hit all the recommended system requirements besides the 3060 Ti. It's slightly more powerful than my 2060, but I should be fine with lowering some settings. I remember rocking my GTX 770 when BF4 was new and getting awesome frames. This time I'll have to dial it back a bit but that's not a big deal.

What are everyones impressions so far? My FIRST impressions are, for me, TTK needs work but i find myself always complaining about that. The menu and visuals are just as convuluted as COD's menus are, i also dont like hanging in a lobby for a while waiting for 1 person to ready up. There needs to be somethin done about that unless theres a timer i cant seem to see.
Other than that, im only really playing Domination since TDM isnt available and that will most likely be the only mode i play. Its fun, chaotic but hard to talk to squad mates as a solo player.
Honestly doesn't stand out to me from modern-day FPS. It looks good and sounds good of course and the destruction is top-notch, but nothing blows me away here.
Also, if you run into the "secure boot" error. Youre going to have to go into your bios to change it. Not hard for me but i didnt have to switch my bios to UEFI from CSM i think it is? Just a heads up.

I don't like the Conquest larger maps because they do not feel large enough as a solo recon player. It is hard to sneak around because everything feels so cramped. This used to be my favorite role in BF3/BF4, but not in this one. My favorite role so far is the engineer role because I can help repair tanks, but also destroy stuff. Always a laugh when I can bait jets or attack helis to flare and then nuke them. The default SMG I do not like as much, but it does not matter much because I don't do much shooting. I mostly run after tanks, jump in when shot at, jump out to repair and RPG enemy tanks. It's fun

Tried to play some on my lunch break today but ran into this issue. Gigabyte BIOS kept it disabled even after turning it on. Had to click another button called "reset platform key" and it worked perfectly after that. At that point I only had a few minutes, so I'll check it out tonight. That was very strange, never saw that error before.

I've only played about 10 minutes quickly. The graphics are very nice. Recoil was a bit wild as Assault class, but I guess they were going for realism rather than catering to the masses. I think I'll enjoy it, will have another go tomorrow.
Although i'm not going to get or play BF6, i must say i have a good feeling about it. Compared to BF2042 it looks like we're onto a winner. Visually stunning and familiar to the original style of combat. Might watch a few twitch videos and sit back and see how it pans out when it gets released.
I do have a few gripes about the game though. Both of them pretty minor but still.
1. The 2 factions seem very similar. One is tan coloured, the other is dark green. god knows what happens when the cosmetics come into play and whether you can identify friend from foe quickly when everyone looks different and lack any consistency.
2. Story. Ok indulge me, i think its a bit meh to have US vs PMC. Doesn't really make much sense besides, rich, baddies vs the US. Personally i would have liked a tom clancy endwars style idea with russia, nato and US just duking it out. But who cares about story in multiplayer games? we're here for the combat.

Have you tried modifying your weapons to lessen the recoil?

No, I literally only had 10 minutes before being asked to do something. I’m sure there is weapon customisation, but I’ll have to dive deeper tomorrow. I just thought, if they wanted to hook people, the would start the assault class with an easier to control rifle. Especially if they wanted to convert the cod players. But, it’s probably a 5 second fix. I just thought it odd.

As annoying as it is, you can turn it on and it doesnt reset your settings. Just turn on custom control then turn secure boot on then save, i was afraid of this too but it didnt reset anything.
So, about to hit level 15 and im enjoying myself, even in the matches i lose. Not hearing a lot of chatter from people but i drop info when i can. The domination maps are small so they are easy to remember.
One thing i do like though is that when aiming down a scope at enemies in rumble, they seem to have this filter where you can see enemy silhouettes better against the background, idk if anyone else notices it, maybe its my scope? I like it.

BF6 beta day-1 brain dump from a guy on 3 hrs sleep:
- 45 min queue, finally in. Breakthrough Initiation vs bots = warm-up only, caps at rank 15.
- Weapons start naked; SGX needs 18 for extended mag (+6 rnds lol). Laser + class hip-fire perk = SMG melts.
- Aim-assist on roller feels drunk; PC dudes still beam. Crossplay off = 50 % PC lobbies anyway.
- Mantling bug lets you bounce off tiny plants—speed-run tech incoming.
- Domination plays like COD w/ fast respawn; bots just sprint feed. First quad feed 30 sec in.
- Spawn beacon still on Recon in this build; Assault mains crying.
- Repair-tool kill = chef-kiss, C4 tank whiff = pain.
- Closed-weapon Conquest looks sweatier; Peak is gorgeous, 6× max sniper scope feels short.
- No nuke streak (25+ guns = nothing), but triple C4 multi still hype.

Conquest king babyyy. Always feels good to have the highest amount of captures in the server. I put two hours in Conquest mode last night.
There are some things I really like. The game application itself feels smoother, loads faster, menus more responsive, they seemed to do a good job at optimizing it. Gameplay also was a rock solid 60fps at a mixture of Medium/High settings.
I really like how you don’t constantly see the position of the enemy who killed you, instead you basically get a ghost hologram of where they were when they killed you.
The maps so far are way too small for conquest. Hopefully this is just due to it being in beta, when the game comes out I'm sure we'll see much larger maps.
TTK and recoil feel a bit off compared to previous BF games, but some tweaking from the devs could get it feeling right. Vehicles seem to turn very sensitively, one small turn immediately turns into a wide turn.
Graphics look nice, but I don't like how the only options for Texture Resolution is Low and High. Low looks a bit like crap, High uses too much VRAM on my graphics card. Woes of having a 6GB card in 2025 I guess.
So far, everything feels really good. The flaws I do have with it can easily be tweaked and fixed by the devs before launch. Hoping to see larger maps, because the two I played on Conquest were very close quarters and fast paced. I love my larger maps with lots of space.

All I had to do was turn off CSM and turn on SecureBoot in my BIOS. SecureBoot wouldn't enable at first, but in my Gigabyte BIOS I had an option to "reset platform key", not sure what it does, but that made SecureBoot become enabled and the game worked like a charm after that. Nothing at all changed about my PC, performance feels the same, I have all my data still.
The strange thing about this game requiring SecureBoot to be enabled is that the Skate closed playtest didn't ask me to enable it, and both games use EA's new Javelin anti-cheat software. Perhaps a game like BF is much more prone to cheaters than Skate is.

From what I understand you can make quite a lot of money off of selling cheats, so it's not that surprising that a game as big as Battlefield 6 would get cracked.

Suing cheat makers into the dirt seems to be the best way forward. Epic Games recently sued or threatened legal actions to cheat makers, and made a couple have to publicly apologize to Fortnite players. After all, it is quite illegal to tamper with these games as stated in the EULAs, dev and publisher companies just need to exercise it more.

Had a lot of fun in the open beta. Favorite class by far, hybrid support/engineer and been loving using the SMG. One of my strategies has been to rat out in the capture zones with tons of smoke and wait for the zone capture. Rinse and repeat. Not much kills, but it does not matter since I can help with people spawning on me. Obviously, I have to flex a little when I get 1st place.
