I have 2 options for a pre built would you go i5 11400f with 3060 ti or ryzen 5 5600x with rx6600 xt my understanding is first one has a better gpu and second one has better gpu it's for gaming (mainly gta5 and CoD)
Mind sharing a link to both prebuilts? A PC isn't built with just a processor and GPU...and most often the other parts not mentioned are the ones that are crippled parts in an otherwise spectacular build.
.hi thanks for replying, I'm new to all this, I'm trying to get my son a good rig as I let him down with a non gaming pc last year, the bench Mark's I've seen show the ryzen processor to be better and the nvidia gpu to be better but cant get them both together so wondering which the best combo would be also your opinion on the other components would be great, I was also wondering about the amount of ssd the more expensive pc has double , does this matter with gaming, thank you
Would you be open to suggestions on Scan? You could look through some videos on YT courtesy of KitGuru if you'd like to bring yourself up to speed, though we'd be faster than you going through the videos.
Also, what sort of games would your son want to play and the sort of tasks that he'd like to tax the system with? SSD's do matter, as does a dual channel memory kit as does a good mid range or higher GPU as does a good cooling solution to keep everything cool. What you need is a balanced system.
The Core i5-11400F is Intel's most affordable Rocket Lake processor. While its multiplier is locked, you can still adjust the power limit. Once we did that, the CPU ran over 15% faster and almost matched the Core i5-11600K. We also made an interesting discovery regarding Gear 1 vs. Gear 2.
