Games quickly put an auto-sort on those.
auto sorts aren't always smart (never ask to have two forum threads merged, the way it does it is not smart).

Diablo 2 remastered had a tetris inventory.. can't recall if it auto sorted.
Least said about how Diablo 4 dropped ball on inventory space, the better. Wonder if they ever fixed that. Tying inventory space to server usage is really dumb (just to allow others to see what you wearing, game is a shop after all, have to allow players to advertise for you). In a way, the less people playing means they might be able to increase storage space for the few still playing.

Sacred 2 has one, I wonder if they will update that at all.

I think it had a button you could press to sort, it let you sort it otherwise. It wasn't heavy handed.
Diablo games like to fill inventory and make you decide what to carry. Last game made that worse by not giving enough space to even think about making two different classes. Ugh, I haven't even installed Diablo 4 on new PC.
Loot games with not enough space is a curse. Some games at least let you buy more inventory space (with ingame cash)... Last Epoch for instance and others let you buy more with actual cash (POE 1). Doesn't matter how much I have, I always seem to need more.

Score says 10/13, but it’s more like 9/13. Skyrim had me really puzzled and had to use the hint for the first 3 characters. I’m still surprised how fast I got Far Cry 2, the scenes of dark dingy interiors have implanted themselves into my mind apparently.
I got 9/13, but I'm not entirely sure if I would have known Skyrim if I hadn't read it in your post. I would've probably gotten 10/13 if I hadn't stopped reading the rest of your post before doing the quiz, as I couldn't guess Far Cry 2.
 

I played a bit of Fata Deum and while it looks a bit similar to Black & White, it doesn't give the same vibes to me. One of the issues is that Fata Deum's UI makes you feel like a manager instead of a god. Black & White had almost no HUD at all, you had to do everything by physically interacting with it with your hand.

It could still be saved if the story is good though. The little bit I played had almost no story at all. Black & White 2 added a whole bunch of menus to the formula as well and while it did feel more like a management game than the first game, the story still made you feel like you were actually playing as a god.


Ah yes, sales people promising things that can't be delivered, a tale as old as time.

Salesman: Hey, does our software do this?
Me: No.
(a few hours pass)
Boss: We need to put this into the software.
Me: That doesn't even make sense.
Boss: We already sold the software based on that feature, we've got to put something in that's at least close.
Me: How about we put the salesman on the phone to the client to explain that it doesn't even make sense?
Boss: Very funny. Now how can we do something like this...

A day or two later, when the purchaser talks to the people that will actually be using the software, it occurs to them that the feature makes no sense and the request vanishes.

Really glad I'm not dealing with software being sold by salesmen anymore.

I honestly think it should be mandatory for the developer to sit down with an end-user and go over the planned features together, instead of trusting a sales person and the client representative to somehow figure out what the software should be doing.
