Question [Asus TUF FX505DT being slow

I've just got my laptop today and when I first started playing minecraft with shaders on i got about 120 fps average.
I've just started playing it again now after a break and I'm averaging 60 fps. Is there anything I can do to solve this because it makes me worry that my laptop is going to be super slow in the near future

Reset it first. That's one thing i would do. Check NVIDIA GEFORCE EXPERIENCE that's another. Check out some other games and check out the performance. If it's not up to your preference or such, then I'd recommend you just return and get another gaming laptop. Look for signs when you get a new laptop. Did you download something else that could perhaps affect gaming performance?
