I just logged into the game at what was called a new season , i have just over 220 hours so i guess i am still classed as a newbie.

All my heros are reset to lvl 1 , all my armour , runes , progress and inventory gone.

I asked in the game chat why this happened and surprisingly i got some very toxic replies.

If this is the devs idea of fun i aint laughing i guess its time to uninstall

I don't know anything about the game, but it looks like there are multiple ways to log into the game, including Facebook and Google. Are you sure that you logged in the same way that you used to? I would assume that if you logged in with Facebook before and with Google this time that maybe it would start you over, but I really have no idea.

All progress is reset for the new season. From what I understand the new season has an entirely new storyline in a new location, as well as a whole bunch of new content.

I suppose if you compare it to more traditional games, a season is like a single campaign. Throughout the campaign you level your heroes and gather items and such, but when you start a new campaign with a new story you have to start from scratch. The major difference is that, because it's a multiplayer game, you have no control over when you start the new campaign and you can't go back to the old one.

It is the first game i have played with seasons mention in it.
Do all games with seasons reset everything when a new season starts.
Pifanjr .... they have added a new area to the map.

In the chat room my avatar shows lvl 1 as things were reset but i noticed that other players were showing 50+ on their avatar , i asked why and the reply i got was ....... maybe its cos were doing something your not supposed to .

Yes, games with seasons typically reset most progress. Some of them have a separate game mode where you can still use stuff from previous seasons, but the idea is that each player starts each season from scratch. It makes it a lot easier to balance new content I assume.

As for how players level so quickly, I assume they either used cheats or just spend a bunch of money in the in-game store.
