Does anyone have any solid information about why 3300X CPUs are so hard to come by right now? I'm waiting to upgrade a PC and ordered the Mobo and CPU at the same time. I've got the mobo (MSI B450-A Pro Max) but the CPU has gone out of stock and no availability anywhere in UK it seems. Trying to work out how long I'm going to need to wait.

There's been huge demand on all hardware due to the pandemic, so all sorts of things keep running out.
I don't think anyone can tell you how long unless you phone the stores and see if there's any consensus.
AMD are about to announce their new Zen 3 CPUs on 8th Oct. I'm not sure if they'll do the R3s as well as the R7s and R5s, though I suppose it's possible. It may also squidge down the prices of the 3600.
