A puzzling occurance on my Steam wishlist: games no longer available.

So, today I started digging through Steam, particularly my long wishlist, because of the sale and I noticed something incredibly strange. I don't know how long ago it happened, but it is recent as it wasn't like this during the Halloween sale.

Several games in my wishlist were empty. Their thumbnails were blank and text descriptions just said the title was no longer available. There was still the info on when I added the game to my list, but there's no info on what game it was. Anyone have this happen to them? In total there were 9 of my 84 wishlisted games that went blank.

My only guess why this would happen is because of Steam's recent policy updates, in particular about AI and DLC listings. It seems some games have been removed (and possibly altered to be compliant and relisted).

Anyway, it was quite surprising and I wish I knew what those games were.

Most of the answers are from 4 years ago, which is odd.
Or results for empty wishlists.

There used to be a bug in 2020 where if a game was removed it would bug out wishlist.

It appears its meant to replace the blanks with unavailable now

Yes, you can check the games. Right click on the text "(unavailable item)", click "Copy link address", paste the link into SteamDB's search bar, hit Enter, and it will redirect you to the game.

Alternatively, if you are logged in to SteamDB, you can open your whishlist there, then sort by the column "Release" until you get ascending order, and the first items will be those that have all blanks (or rather, dashes) in all fields. It should correspond to the same unavailable games.

note: since you new and edited post, it went into an approval state. We try to stay on top of it :)

Well crap. I already deleted them from my list. I'll guess I'll never know.

I'm sure some of them will be relisted. At least if they aren't among the ones Steam banned recently because of asset flipping and whatnot.

Its one way to look at it.
Its more I am just selective in what I play and there really aren't any other new games coming out in the genre I do (if you ignore Path of Exile 2) so I wait for Titan Quest 2 to be released. If there were more games... I should look at POE2 but I never really got into 1st one).
If more ARPG existed I would buy them but I think I own them all now.

Its not really out of choice.
