Question Doom Eternal review Q&A - Ask me anything!

We'll have a more thorough performance analysis on the sit soon-ish, but you'll be able to play it with that card, for sure. Our PA guy was able to play it on the highest settings at 1080p and maintained 60 fps with a GTX 1650. I'm guessing you'll need to bump some stuff down, but it will...

Question Doom Eternal review Q&A - Ask me anything!

Realizing I didn't address DLC or future Doom games. I'm not sure, honestly! It feels like this is as intense as a shooter can get before becoming too overwhelming, but I think there's still room for more demon types that screw with long-established habits, much like the Marauder does in Eternal.

Question Doom Eternal review Q&A - Ask me anything!

The resource management and overall feeling while playing. You're getting pulled in every direction by your quickly depleting resources nonstop, be it health, ammo, or shields, and keeping them topped off while pulling off perfect headshots and aerial maneuvers means you're spinning more plates...

Where's the PAX East Coverage @PCG (or anywhere else?)

@phylum_sinter As Jorge shared, everything is archived on our Twitch channel and I'm currently in the process of breaking out each segment into its own video for Youtube, and smaller ones yet for Twitter and Instagram and wherever else they make sense. We also have a few previews with a...

Help, I can't finish RPGs anymore

It's funny you mention FF14, because I have the same can't-finish-RPGs affliction. And yet—no idea what I was thinking—I played through FF14: A Realm Reborn through the end of Shadowbringers in two months. Highly recommended and, yep, you can play at you're own pace. Just don't play at my dumb pace!

    Your Favourite F2P games

Fortnite! Forget the battle royale mode. It's great, but isn't the main draw for me anymore. Fortnite's creative mode is where it's at. There are so many rad custom modes and maps that it's basically become the PC's LittleBigPlanet. I highly recommend roping up a few friends and toying around...

What game(s) are you looking towards in 2020?

Wow, can't believe I forgot to mention Elden Ring. A June release feels a bit optimistic to me though. Happy to be surprised.

Disco Elysium - The future of RPG gameplay?

Disco Elysium is too particular to signal the future of RPGs, imo. That said, I think it's going to open the floodgates for all sorts of unique settings and bespoke RPG systems. I wanna see boring, realistic settings and RPG systems applied to mundane activities. Sad Person in Modern America...

What game(s) are you looking towards in 2020?

Silksong and Cyberpunk should keep me occupied for most of 2020.

    The expanse! [No Spoilers]

Oh yeah, it's a super pulpy show, though that tapers off a bit into Season 2. Season 1 is extremely SyFy Original. I'm a sucker for that cheese though.

    The expanse! [No Spoilers]

I'd say keep going and watch with subtitles if you aren't already. Seeing the words really helps with names in my experience. And it's a slow burn, there's some good sci-fi weirdness and action scenes coming.

    The expanse! [No Spoilers]

Tore through Season 1 and 2 over the break. Loving it. The attention to detail in the ship-based action sequences is so great. Gravity and momentum make simple dogfights something else. Just started Season 3!
