Activision Blizzard boss mulled buyout of Kotaku and PC Gamer - report
In order to "change the public narrative".
Activision Blizzard's controversial boss Bobby Kotick recently considered acquiring video games websites such as Kotaku and PC Gamer, according to a new report.
That's according to...
PC Gamer finally decided to cover this: https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/chris-avellone-files-libel-suit-over-last-years-sexual-misconduct-allegations/
Although it's quite hidden on a small column on a side.
Yep, I mentioned it here: https://forums.pcgamer.com/threads/dark-alliance-who-to-believe.90372/
PCG Andy K gave it a solid 82
I say Aliens: Fireteam Elite is going to be the next Sacred 3. Wanna bet something??
Chris worked on many all-time favourite CRPGs: Fallout 2, PS:T, Icewind Dale, KOTOR II, Fallout: New Vegas, and even Descent to Undermountain!
Here's hoping he will come back as a game writer soon...
IF
You will play it before Christmas
THEN
Go for it
ELSE
Wait for the next sale (Autumn, Halloween, Christmas, Spanish Inquisition Midweek Madness, etc.)

Good news everyone: I've got some good news!
Somebody uploaded the US podcast on March 28: https://archive.org/details/5108112008
Except he didn't actually uploaded it... There are no files!!
Plus, don't ask me how we all missed this, but it seems (??) the UK podcast was already uploaded...
Yep. The Archive is usually very helpful, but unfortunately nobody archived the files: https://web.archive.org/web/20150118040803/https://www.pcgamer.com/us-pc-gamer-podcast-archives/
Hope they are not lost forever. I've been listening to the old CGW podcast and it was a blast.
