Worried about my new laptop

I recently got an Alienware Aurora 6 laptop that took a fairly nasty fall after I tripped over its power cord. I’ve tried running a hardware health check through Command Prompt, a GPU test and a full memory diagnostic and they all came up clean, but I’m still having issues with lag and I’m really scared. Are there any more tests I can do to cover all the bases?

Generally speaking, if you dropped it and it's still working, then it's still working.

What could break and cause it to be slower but still function are the fans. If they aren't working and causing heat throttling, that would definitely make you slower.

If you tripped over the power cord and it got yanked around in the power jack, that could theoretically cause power issues. Even just dropping the power pack can do that. Power problems can cause all sorts of issues.

If you want, get a free version of any reputable benchmark tool and it will tell you how fast you are compared to similar systems. You can get the free version of 3DMark on Steam. This way you aren't relying on "I just feel like it's slower than before" which every single one of us is susceptible to when problems pop up.

It’s lagging more than normal. I’m kind of reading tea leaves trying to figure out what the cause is, it’s the not knowing and my bad luck with my computers that’s throwing me.
