i know i shouldnt be asking it here but i have an issue with my pc where i cant open windows security its just asking me to install a software from microsoft store is anyone willing to help
Sounds suspect to me.
I would run malwarebytes and check
windows 11 i'll try updating it and let you know if its fixedWhich version of windows? 10 or 11?
have you looked on windows store? could be you need an update?
I would run windows update as well
does it say what you need?
Welcome to the forum
If it's Windows Defender, go ahead and install it.
If not, what is the software?
MS store should be safe, don't worry about going
Windows defender should be installed already. Neither 10 or 11 will let you remove it. You can disable it but its still there in most cases.
Screenshots of the message would be good. Sounds suspect to me.

thats not a regeditTry this out;
Redirecting but I'm not a fan of registry editing. As such, backup any and or all mission critical data if you have any on your OS drive.
On windows 11 do this
1) launch powershell as an admin
2) Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted
3) Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
4) Set-ExecutionPolicy restricted
its restricted in belgiumPosted within a quoted message:

That looks very suspicious to me, almost definitely malware. You need to scan your system.

"malwarebytes app its restricted in my country"
That's weird, what country?
i tried resetting my pc so atm i have legit apps from steam, epic games, rainmeter etcMWB could be restricted for use by EU countries, I suppose. An alternative would be Hitman Pro.
HitmanPro and HitmanPro.Alert. Advanced Malware Scanning, Detection and Removal Tools.
HitmanPro cleans malware, viruses, trojans, keyloggers, rootkits, trackers, ransomware and spyware while HitmanPro.Alert provides continuous scanning in real time.www.hitmanpro.com
Use the free trial.
Updating legit Defender should be part of the normal Windows Update process. There does seem to be something else in play here.
Scan and share the results.
By the way, are all of your applications, games, and operating system from legit sources?
my windows ver is 23H2That seems to have happened a lot 2 years ago
