Not many laptops allow upgrades. The most important part is the CPU itself and AFAIK you can't swap those in most laptops.

To update via windows update you need the above specs, to update via an ISO later on you don't need nearly as much:

Windows 11 will be installable on most PCs with unsupported CPUs via ISOs

Microsoft spokespeople have today confirmed that users who choose to manually upgrade or clean install Windows 11 using ISO media or the Media Creation Tool will not be blocked based on the CPU generation requirements as laid out by Microsoft's official requirements list.
