I’m currently running a Gigabyte Geforce Rtx 3070ti and an AMD Ryzen 7 5800x. Playing games and getting 60 to 100fps on 1080p max settings, bought an Alienware AW3423DWF 34 Inch WQHD (3440x1440) 21:9 1800R Curved Gaming Monitor, 165Hz, QD OLED, 0.1ms, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, 99.3% DCI-P3, HDR400 to play on. Wanted to go 4K and upgrade my pc (a new one). As I’m always on this page you guys are great and I’d like some input. Is this a good build? will I be able to play the latest games on 4k with max settings?

[Mod edit: changed title for clarity from the overlong "Just bought this PC will I be able to run the latest games on 4k with good frames per second? Will I get good performance?".]

Welcom to the forum :)

This is close to as fast a build as you can buy at the moment. The only thing that might have eeked out a couple more frames is some faster RAM, and even then only in some rare cases and not much.

Your monitor is a really good one, but not 4k its 3440x1400 which is ultra wide QHD with a very high end OLED screen, which some prefer to 4K. A 4090 and that CPU is just about as good as you can get and should be able to push 100 FPS in almost every game out now max settings at that resolution. Enjoy.

Ahh I’ll have to change the monitor so I can refund on Amazon hopefully as i haven’t got it yet, thanks so much for the response I really appreciate it 🙌🏻

Its one of the best monitors you can get for gaming, but if you must have 4K then sure. Personally I'd love to have an OLED WQHD screen over a non OLED 4k. Lower resolution has the added bonus of allowing you to get higher frame rates for longer. But if money is never an issue then maybe thats not a problem :)
