Forza Horizon 5. Drive around in a huge array of cars, modify the cars if you want, compete against others/AI, do stunts, listen to music, earn more cars and tracks, spin some wheels, take photos and find secrets on a large playground map for you to enjoy. Incredibly easy game (the tutorial gently (+- a paint job) puts you into the world) to get into and you can find a difficulty setting that you like and go from there.

I'm tempted to say Outer Wilds, but I really worry that we are the worst group to ask this question.

I say Outer Wilds because it's short, cute, actually expects you to die many times, and does some great storytelling. Anyone thinking games are all "pew pew!" and no story will get a very pleasant surprise.

The reason I worry about us giving advice comes from the lingo and conventions. There are all these gaming conventions out there that could get in the way for a new player while somebody like me won't even notice them. None are even remotely hard to learn, so a new player with a seasoned player watching alongside will also breeze right through them, but somebody going in alone is going to have a rougher time. I don't even see them anymore, so I'm going to have no clue if they are headed for a little speed bump or a brick wall.

Depends what kind of games ya like.

Looking at my steam list of games some of my top ones are Skyrim, Fallout 4, Deep Rock Galactic, Dark Souls series, Warhammer Vermintide 2, Left 4 Dead series, SPAZ, No Mans Sky, Border Lands series, Dragon Age Origin, Baldurs Gate 2, Monster Hunter, Torch Light 2, Mass Effect series.

But if you really want to test your pc then Peggle and Chuzzle :tonguewink:

If you're just starting out, I'd say try Portal 2 i's super fun and teaches you how to think in games without being too hard. I mostly play CS, and would recommend it if you're into guns and shooting otherwise you can try Forza Horizon for car racing.

I think it depends on what kind of games you enjoy. If you want to do the whole history of PC gaming start with classics like Doom or Half Life, Civilization.

But if you're just looking for a good time, I'd try Left 4 Dead or Dota.

You've got to figure out what kinds of games you enjoy.

Nice, congrats on the new setup! If you’re into story-driven stuff, I really enjoyed Cyberpunk 2077 after the updates—looks amazing on PC. For something chill but addictive, Stardew Valley hits the spot.

I play mostly shooters and ARPG's.

So if you're planning to play online shooters i'd recommend Marvel Rivals. It might look daunting at first but there are some support characters with aim assist. Combine that with a good YouTube guide and you'll get the hang of it. Try Cloak and Dagger for example. That's beginner friendly.

For ARPG's Diablo style i'd recommend Diablo 3. Once you understand the mechanics of D3 switch to D4, Last Epoch(my favorite) or Path Of Exile. For open world RPG's Oblivion Remastered can be a good start. You can adjust the difficulty at any time during playthrough.

Also the way you put your character together in any RPG is called a build. So on YouTube search for Build guide's for the game you play. But in D3 you'll be fine by just starting to play and not worry about builds. It's a very forgiving game.

For turn based RPG's i recommend Wasteland 3, it also has adjustable difficulty.
