Which one has the best display (thinking about brightness/nits) and touchpad?

I am torn between these two laptops:

The tiebreaker will be:

1. Which one has a better touchpad that accepts multi-gesture inputs and doesn't have a weird grippy surface? I will never use a mouse except for gaming - when I do work it's always on a touchpad so it needs to be good. The touchpad of my current (old) msi GT70 2OC is pretty bad.
2. The screens are the same resolutions and should have equally good viewing angles. Beyond that, which one is better? I know there are things to take into consideration like IPS/LCD/nits and lots of technical stuff I'm not too familiar with. Again, my current msi doesn't go bright enough to work comfortably in a brightly lit room.
