Oh, I see, you're expecting us to pick from one of those? I haven't played any of them, though I did buy Elden Ring had have Tsushima and Wukong on my wish list.

This is really hard, honestly. Visual pleasing can be an "Oh, that's nice" reaction, or an "Oh, that's surreal reaction," or a mix of the two, or several others. It's hard to compare them! I guess I'll give it to Horizon: Forbidden West for now, but I might give it to Death Stranding, Red Dead Redemption 2, or even X4: Foundations depending on my mood when you ask.

Those are great picks too. I agree, this is a hard one to choose. I like them all to be honest. Ghost of Tsushima just stuck out to me the most. I was tied between that one, God of War: Ragnarok, and Assassin's Creed Shadows. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth are honorable mentions as well.

From the list, Tsushima. The visuals left a lasting impression on me, particularly the coastal areas. Although I do admit I'm also partial to coastal scenery having grown up in the Southern California beaches.

But, I'd like to also give an honorable mention to Cyberpunk. And I'll also call out Robocop: Rogue City as I'm really impressed with Lumen and Unreal 5. Rogue City is easily the best looking game I've played since Cyberpunk.

Well you said 2025... If it comes out this year then Black State looks amazing. It's a Unreal Engine 5 game but the lighting effects they developed themselves rather than using Lumen.

I've not played any of the 5 listed. Honourable mention for AC Valhalla which looks amazing without any Raytracing etc.

Honorable mention to Eastshade

It's pretty low tech, but the authors are great at putting beautiful things using beautiful colors in beautiful places. (I just wish the game was more fun. Seems to be made for kids.)

No need to be an honorable mention. That is video game art at its finest. It's thoughtful, colorful, expressive and specifically designed to elicit moods, above just trying to be sure it looks like the environment it's supposed to.

Specifically, this game wants you to look at it thoughtfully, not just exist in it. That means something.
