What happened to PC Gamer Club?

I wanted to get a pet in RuneScape that can only be obtained by getting a free code from signing up for PC Gamer Club but I found that the site was down and I couldn't find anything online saying that PC Gamer shut it down. Is the club still going on, and if so, can I still get the pet?

The PC Gamer Club has been retired. There's no way to obtain anything from it at this point unless you signed up before it was retired.
