What gpu do you prefer?

Whatever is cheap and provides an acceptable level of performance. I've owned 3Dfx, Matrox, Nvidia and AMD cards in my tenure and been happy with all of them.

Currently I have 4 Nvidia cards (2 of which are in laptops) and 2 (3 if you count Steam Deck) AMD cards in service in my household.

I don't pick sides. I mean, I probably have had more Nvidia cards but I wasn't taking that much notice. It was whatever I could afford at time. Last time I decided AMD cards were cheaper option and I didn't really care about Ray Tracing - still yet to play a game that uses it.

I never got a matrox card but I remember them.
I started with ATI Rage Pro but it was only 2d, 1st 3d card was a Voodoo 2.
I don't recall what was in the next two PC, I vaguely remember an Nvidia card in that time. I still have one of the PC but don't feel like fighting spiders to look inside it.
4th had Nvidia and AMD in it during its time.
5th PC only had Nvidia, 2 cards - GTX 960 and a GTX 980 (not at same time, one bought to run a 4k monitor I wasn't expecting when PC was made)
6th (current PC) - Nvidia and AMD again
