What something “would look like” in 4D depends on how your eyeballs got inserted into the 4D world. Our eyes are basically 2D screens (the “retina”) surrounded by an opaque 3D sphere with a hole in the front to let light in. If you take those 3D spheres and 2D screens and place them into a 4D world, you’d immediately be blinded by all of the light that could go around the merely 3D eyeball and shine on the retina directly. As an analogy, imagine drawing a 2D circle onto a sheet of paper and shining a light onto it from a 3D table lamp - the lamp is easily able to light up the interior of the circle - even though in 2D, it’s a perfect obstacle.
