Well, What do you think with all the mash-ups going on

I say most are counterproductive, but maybe not.
Mashups are often mixing marginally compatible artwork and thus ruining the artwork little by little.

However some videogames are made separate wich should be combined with some modifications. and if this is achieved some great revised remakes can be stimulated to be made (having the mashups available people want to combine but not as bad as the mashups, or so i would like to think).

I don't think I'm following, @mzoltan32? Incompatible artwork? The only examples I can think of are things like modern Doom putting in original Doom secret areas, or modern Tomb Raiders letting you play with the original Lara Croft model.

When you say mash-up, I think things like games that throw two IPs together. We don't get much of that officially, but mods make it happen a lot.

There are some marginally compatible artwork. One example is Street Figther X Tekken. Do you have a concept of what is compatible and what is not compatible? Some compositions have a story background as well. Then its mixed with other compositions.

EDIT: for example a composition fits neatly together so to speak and each character or piece of artwork has a neat position in the composition and the presentation is crisp.
