I've just bought an Oculus Quest2 VR Headset. £320 with the upgrade headstrap.
It doesn't come with any games, but there are freeware/demo versions of popular games.
The Quest2 can connect to the PC to play PC games, but it can be used as a standalone VR headset to play games.
I'm not that interested in them, as I want to use my Quest2 to race sims, but it's been OK so far.
It uses IR cameras in the headset itself to monitor your surroundings, rather than you having to place sensors around the room.
I have to say that I've had a nightmare trying to get it to work on the PC, but using standalone VR games has been trouble free.
