I just had to share this absolutely NUTS clip from my first few minutes in the Battlefield 6 beta. I'm still shaking.
So I spawn into the new map, Siege of Cairo, and immediately find myself in the back of an enemy tank. Just me and the driver... hanging out. My buddy gets blown up, and I'm just sitting there, waiting to die, convinced it's all over.
0:36 - Then it happens.
I see a friendly tank rolling up. A mine I placed earlier is just sitting there. I'm screaming at my screen "HIT IT! HIT IT!"...
BOOM.
The mine detonates, the enemy tank goes up in a fireball of secondary explosions, and I emerge unscathed. IN MY FIRST MINUTE OF GAMEPLAY. You literally cannot script this.
This game is something else. The destruction is BACK and better than ever. I leveled an entire building with a tank later—ceilings, walls, everything crumbles. The new weapon customization system is deep (you have a 100-point budget for attachments!), the movement is slick with dives and contextual lean, and the sound design... oh man, the jets screaming overhead sound SO real.
Big thanks to EA for the early access. This clip alone has me hyped for launch.
