Steam interface updates

Just wondering if anyone knows how to find out what is being updated on the steam interface when you launch it because some patches are quite big and it get updated 2 or 3 times a week.

Makes me wonder how we survived the dial-up days.

I have to assume these patches are driven by the Steam Deck as the new interface changes in Big Picture Mode seem to reflect that. Ever since Big Picture 2.0 came out I've had some very strange controller issues, both with xbox and steam controllers. That and my AppleTV 4K Steam App has become unusable with the steam controllers, but not my xbox controller. Bizarre.

I get a popup saying what is in every update they push out. It doesn't pop up until the download is done, though.
