Those recycled electronics also would have problems getting to their intended destination, so I don't think that will help much. I don't think the problem is the amount of resources available, but just getting everything where it needs to go.

You are correct. Before the logistics problem, there was a serious resource shortage, but now that we can't move things around, I guess that's beside the point.

Logistics aside, recycling might help the poorest markets, but elsewhere the tech is advancing too quickly to make much recycling worthwhile. I assume they still recycle the gold fingers on PCBs, but that's probably all that's worth it.

I don't mean recycling parts. I mean recycling the metals used to make the parts.
