Question about VRR and Gsync

Is VRR just as good as G-SYNC ? And can Nvidia GPUS use VRR in hdmi? IM planning on getting a 4k tv, one of the TV 's i was thinking of getting has G-SYNC, but its a OLED tv, and I'm afraid of it getting burn in's.
