  • I understand the CPU is probably a bit overkill but thought it might be a bit more future proof if I want to upgrade my GPU in a couple years time?

10th gen intel cpus have a different socket - lga1200 and the chipset the supports them is z490
Change the mb to a good quality z490 and not a cheap one to make sure it provides enough power to the 10900k
