Why Are You Upgrading: current pc build is over 12 years old and is starting slowing when doing basic things

Budget: total of £2000 at a push

Approximate Purchase Date: either side of christmas not sure yet

Use Case: gaming/streaming movies etc

Parts to Upgrade:
complete rebuild from scratch

Are you buying a monitor: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts? None

Parts Preferences: current build intel was looking at amd but no preference

Overclocking: No

Additional Comments: quieter the better but not essential. Look doesnt really bother me as it sits under a desk out of view. Would like it to be future proof/upgradeable in future without too much issue.

I currently have the below based on recommendations i could find. Family member said theres no point in getting less than 1000w power supply - originally i had 750w in the list.

It wont let me post properly as Im a new member so this is the best i could do:

It's a difficult time to be doing a build with the current state of RAM prices. With that said you want DDR5-6000 CL30 if you intend on gaming. Look for a X870E / X670E board for the extra PCIe lanes if running dual SSD's and you want your primary storage to include DRAM cache if it's in your budget. 850W psu is ideal for the RX 9070 XT.

Here's a few ideas.
