Hey folks,
I just wrapped up the main story in Monster Hunter Wilds and while I really enjoyed it — the gameplay is smooth, visuals are incredible, and the zones feel truly alive — I was surprised by how easy everything felt.
I went through the whole story without failing a single hunt. No carts, no re-tries. I didn’t even need to grind gear or switch loadouts. Just stuck with my main weapon and rolled through it all.
It’s definitely fun, and the QoL improvements are awesome. But I kinda miss the old days when monsters like Rajang or Nargacuga would completely wreck you unless you really prepared. Here it feels like you can brute force most encounters.
Also a bit concerned about the post-launch content. Only a few monsters announced so far, and I’m hoping there’s more to keep us busy long-term.
Anyone else feeling this way? Or am I just overthinking it?
