Question Monitor turns off, but the PC is still running

I'm having a problem with my PC. Whenever I try to play Grand Theft Auto V my monitor turns off and I have a choppy sound on my headphones, but my PC is still running.
The problem is only with GTA V because whenever I play CS2 I don't have that problem.
PC specs:
Intel I3 9100F
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
16GB RAM

This can be a number of things. Often a heat and/or power issue. Could also be defective GPU.

What is the make/model of your power supply?

Are you overclocking anything?

Does this happen when playing any other games or benchmarking the system?

My first question would be is this a new development? Have you been able to play GTA V before with no problem or just now trying to play GTA V and this has been a problem since you started?
