Question Monitor says out of range-

Is this a new problem—ie was working properly before?
Did it happen right after this week's MS Windows update?

What kind of cables and ports are you using?

How old is everything? Monitor, PC, graphics card…

Try changing from connecting to graphics card to connecting to motherboard—ie using integrated graphics.
