Merry Christmas to you all

Well its that time again so i gonna give the pc a rest for a few days.
Another year of fun and laughter and gamers helping gamers.
A merry christmas to all the regulars and those who just pop in now and again.
I am not going to name individuals cos you all know who you are and if i miss anybody out i wont hear the last of it lol.

As i write this, its still Christmas eve here in the UK. Not likely to get any gaming done. I've got family over and i'm probably going to spend my evening watching the wallace and gromit movie and glued to the tv with a large mug of tea and find solace in it all.

That said, Path of exile typically gives away a lootbox on christmas, so there is that to look forward to.

Anyway, have a merry christmas and a happy new year. Hopefully we'll wrap this crazy year on a positive.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I've been having a lot of trouble getting enough sleep the last few days and somehow thought it was Christmas Eve yesterday, so my kid already opened all of her gifts. We only have a package left from my in-laws that arrived today, but I have no idea what it is or who it's for (though I assume it's for my kid as well).

Merry Christmas ! Its celebrated mostly on the 24th here so today we're mostly cleaning up and making Lego sets.
When I was a kid I mostly played with Lincoln Logs and Tinker Toys for building things. Also had a set of Giant Tinker Toys. which was cool.

Glad to see they still exist

Apart from Lego we had Meccano which was kind of like Lego Technics but made out of metal back in the 80's.

Interesting, for some reason I thought a Lincoln Log was a dessert of some kind.

How does one acquire the patience to assemble Legos? I have had the 3600 piece Lego grand piano for a couple of years and have managed only the first bag (out like 22 bags I think).

My kid got a lego tour bus for Christmas. She started complaining after putting together the first ten pieces. I finished the last half of the first bag by myself and put everything back in the box.

Looking back at my childhood i did not have a scaletric electric racing car layout or a hornby train set , both of mine were battery operated things but i was not disappointed because none of my pals had them either.

I did however have something called a johny seven gun
I was the only kid in the street that had 1 , the springs in the weapons were really powerful and if 1 of the weapons hit you then you certainly knew about it. I dont think health and safety issues would allow them to be sold now.
