Question Issue with Cars 2006 game

Having trouble playing other games?

Could be an issue with older games on your PC.

I downloaded the cars 2006 on steam and while it was on my PC other modern games would freeze. after 10 minutes of playing a modern game my gaming PC would hard freeze. However the cars game would work perfectly fine.

I uninstalled the cars game and everything was back to normal, no issues at all with the modern games.

So this was just some advice if someone was having the same issue - this could happen with other older games.

An installed game shouldn't effect the performance of any other game. Its not like its running in background to interfere.

I can see the game itself needing compatibility mode but that is just to let it play, it doesn't touch anything else.

Guide doesn't mention it doing that to other games.

it shouldn't a direct X thing as Windows can have several different versions installed at any time.

It affected my other games. when I deleted it, I had no issues.

There must be something wrong with the cars game. no biggy tho.
