Hey there,

I'm new to the community and have a question, its probably a joke to ask, but I'm not afraid ;) I have a very old PC which is about 10 years old, these are the components:

CPU: https://cpu-benchmark.org/cpu/amd-phenom-ii-x6-1090t/
Motherboard: https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-M5A88-V-EVO-Socket-Motherboard/dp/B00B6T0NU6?language=en_US
Memory: https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-ValueRAM-1333MHz-Non-ECC-Desktop/dp/B002K23V1Q
Storage: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-SpinPoint-HD501LJ-500GB-7200RPM/dp/B00187M6L0
Video Card:
only Motherboard
Power Supply: https://www.amazon.com/Seasonic-S12II-380Bronze-380W-Power-Supply/dp/B002A1CRS0

My question is, if it is possible to upgrade this thing to the level where you can play games like Overwatch 2, Rocket League and stuff like that. And, is it possible to get it to run on windows 10/11? At the moment I am using Lubuntu ;) I appreciate your feedback, cya!!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

I wouldn't upgrade that build...as what typically happens with system's of that era is that you replace a part like the GPU with something more concurrent, to eventually troubleshoot the system for issues, then you end up replacing all parts to eventually realize all your resources would've been better off spent on something new.

Alrighty, thank you so much for your reply! I expected that I have to buy a new PC ;)
