I am considering buying Hitman 3 as I understand it is an exceptional game? My question is should I play 1 & 2 prior to playing 3 to get the full experience? If yes, then do I buy the Hitman Trilogy or buy 1, 2 & 3 separately?
From memory I think they were pretty similar in terms of gameplay.
Perhaps the story does carry on across games though, someone else could say for sure.
Looking at the prices on steam it seems Trilogy is cheaper than buying each game seperately.
But in a way it's also something of an upfront commitment because that's a lot of gaming you're signing up for.
eg. If you get bored partway through, then it would have been cheaper to only buy 1 game to discover that.
One thing I did notice in steam is that the first level of both Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 looks like it's free.
If you never played any of the Hitman games before (incl pre-trilogy releases) I'd recommend trying them to see if this is the type of game for you.
