Has Anyone Played Endless Space 2?

Thinking about grabbing either that or the new Endless Legend 2. PCG had an article about the latter today. The headline was very positive, but then the article didn't do anything but describe describe the story. That one has a demo I can try, but I'm more interested in the Space one because you build your own ships.

I've played 10 hours of the first Endless Space. It's a decent 4X, but I remember not really grasping what I was supposed to be doing, it wasn't very intuitive.

So just be prepared to spend some time either reading some guides or just fiddling around for a while to understand all of the mechanics.

I've played a bunch of Endless Space 2 and had a lot of fun! It's big on planetary development and the different factions are QUITE different. The battles are less of a focus, but still interesting.

One of the later DLCs didn't go over very well, but I don't remember which one. I only got the Vaulters DLC, which is mostly a tie-in with the first Endless Legend game.

Patch released. It's almost like one of those 'unofficial patch' mods you see for various games, but they were somehow able to make this one official.
