Question Forza Motorsport Will not Launch on Steam

Hi all - I am new to the forum and wondering if someone can help me You are my last resort.

I have been a member of steam for years and have never had a problem running any games until just recently, specifically.... forza horizon 5 and forza motorsport 8. Weirdly forza horizon 4 loads without any problems.

I have attempted to launch the game from the steam client and the .exe file. I am met with a small window of the graphics as if it is about to load.... then it just instantly closes. It's an endless cycle of press play... see a little picture... failed launch. I got annoyed so I refunded it on steam and am now attempting to load through gamepass and it is the same issue.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
Installing to a different drive.
Reinstalling C++
Reinstalling game services.
Disabling internet security / firewalls.

I dont know what else to do.

Please help I am desperate to play it

Drivers are up to date.

Not checked bios. I don't understand why this would impact one specific the two latest forza games only? All other modern games run fine... Very random.

Monitor.... Use a 55 inch LG C2 120hz 4k panel.

Problem doesn't exist on Game Pass. It let me load Forza Motorsport without any errors.

It does, because I couldn't get either game to load on steam OR game pass. They were the only games that didn't work. The fix above sorted it. No idea why it happened or what caused it.... But its sorted now. We've obviously got slightly different set ups.... Installed different applications etc all of which could have caused the issue.

Thanks for your fix though as now both versions work.... Worked on gamepass on pc so purchased the steam version as well.

the drivers it uninstalls are used in other programs that may have left it behind on your PC after you stopped using them. I helped someone else with same program yesterday. Its always possible something else will stop working now they are removed.
