First post and first build so be gentle pls.

So this will be a gaming setup for PUBG, warzone, overwatch, etc. I plan on trying to purchase a Nvidia 3080 on the 16th but likely will not get one so at that point I'll see how long waits are or I may just go with what i have listed on my PCPP list. Also I know that AMD has some new stuff coming out so i selected the ryzen 5 for the time being. If i upgrade to a new 4000 series in the future i didn't want to spend that much on a ryzen 3950. Will the listed components give me decent frames when gaming at 1440P?

It is a little late in the game because I have ordered everything except the CPU and Video card. a lot of reading got me to this point and i hope i didn't screw it up too badly. Thanks in advance!

First of all, welcome to the forums!

Will the listed components give me decent frames when gaming at 1440P?
Yes, the 2070 Super is a good 1440p card. And of course if you go for a 3080 instead that will be more than enough, arguably too much overkill.

However...
Also I know that AMD has some new stuff coming out so i selected the ryzen 5 for the time being. If i upgrade to a new 4000 series in the future i didn't want to spend that much on a ryzen 3950.
Purchasing something you know you're probably going to upgrade in the near future is not financially shrewd. If at all possible, I would wait until Zen 3 releases next month instead of purchasing a compromise CPU now and then replacing it within the next year.

You didn't screw up, it's a solid build overall. But since your X570 board will support Zen 3, I do recommend waiting to see what comes available next month.

Wait for October.

Wait for the AMD Zen 3 CPus to be announced, and instead of spending $500 on a 2070 Super, spend $500 on a 3070.

It doesn't make sense to forge ahead with expensive parts now when 1) they are literally about to be replaced and 2) you're likely to buy those parts to replace these ones.
Definitely is worth the wait!! I'll find out on the 16th but I'm sure the big rush is gonna be for the 3080s. The 3070 is still a monster and well worth the wait.

I have never been accused of being financially shrewd so that is not surprising haha. I always have stuck to the buy once cry once philosophy so it would indeed be counterproductive to spend money on items I plan on replacing. Fingers crossed i will get the 3080 then I can take my time with the build while waiting for the AMD stuff. Are there any items that aren't on my list that I need?
