excited for the rtx 50 series??

Just wondering if they will have the same melting plug and cable problems as the 40 series , i have seen the videos.

The company i get my pc's from throw the 40 series cables away and supply better quality ones because if they fail and cause damage to other items they are legally bound to replace everything.

If you take out the Multi Frame Generation the average increase in performance is around 20%. I'd say if your on a 30 series card or earlier then it's definitely worth looking at. The price point is pretty great but the 5070ti looks to be the better card to get.

There are apparently 75 games and "applications" that support Multi Frame Generation. It will be interesting to see what these are and what the performance is really like.

I have a 4070ti Super now after my PC died last December. So I'll be looking at a 70 series card.

Excited about the release? No.

Upon release, FOMO and scalpers preying on that notion will immediately cause supplies to dwindle, prices to skyrocket, and trigger a wave of outrage. Just like all major releases have triggered in the last 5 years or so. Far worst phenomena than in the before times (pre-COVID/2020).

Then there will be the avalanche of technical issues, including PSUs, drivers, and expectations that will flood tech forums as early adopters suffer trying to get their over-priced GPUs to work in their (often inadequate) systems.

Excited by the innovation? Yes. These releases drive innovation and force competitors to up their game. This is a good thing, in general, for users in the long term.
