ASUS Zephyrus G14, Lenovo Legion 5, and MSI GE75 Raider. Which is better?
I'm not a big gamer, I'd only play it occasionally, like playing Warzone or something, but most of the time I'll use it in my office for web browsing, and a couple other creative stuff, but nothing really heavy-duty. I want a laptop that will last at least 5 years.
I currently have a 2018 Macbook Air 13 inch Retina, which I bought for the display, it's MUCH easier on my eyes than my old 2013 Lenovo G50. But give it anything graphical, even a PowerPoint, and the fans start taking off. AND it's only got 128GB of storage, which means I don't have enough space for Big Sur. I'm not too big on file storage, etc. but I want something that'll last at least 5 years (my Lenovo G50 is great, but the screen hinges broke, and it's not fast enough for me...need something ZIPPY).
And my Macbook Air for some reason only gets around 5 hours on a single charge...not doing any heavy work, just web browsing (admittedly on 100% brightness).
Portability isn't such a big issue for me.
Here are some of the pros/cons:
G14:
Pros:
-small and powerful
-Best battery life of the 3
Cons:
-not sold at Costco (great warranty, and cash-back rewards)
-no webcam
Legion 5:
Pros:
-Sold at Costco
-good battery
Cons:
-loud fans, even when just web browsing?
GE75 Raider:
Pros:
-great graphics and powerful machine
Cons:
-short battery life
-loud fans, even when just web browsing?
Thanks for your input!!!
