Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

I’ve been playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) recently, and it’s way more intense than I expected.

At first, it looks like a simple shooter, but once you get into it, you realize how much strategy is involved. Every round feels important, and even small mistakes can change the outcome.

The teamwork aspect is also really interesting. You can’t just rely on aim—you have to think, communicate, and adapt.

I can see why this game has stayed popular for so long.
Has anyone here been playing it recently?

I think it's CS2 now is the current one. CSGO was the last counter strike I played. The intensity and skill ceiling was the main pull for me, I had been playing since CS1.6.

I only quit because I didn't enjoy the player base. It's a bit galling putting hundreds of hours in to get verbal abuse etc.

If it weren't for that I'd say it was my favourite PC game, and definitely worth persevering with.

Yeah, that’s exactly what hooks people the mix of mechanics and mind games. Even something simple like when to rotate or fake a site can decide the round.

And yeah… the playerbase can be rough . Playing with at least one friend makes a huge difference, even just for comms and keeping it chill.
