Cleaning.

Howdy!

Given our love & passion for Gaming, PC Hardware and general technology. What are your "go to" cleaning tips and tricks for keeping all of your peripherals and hardware, mousepads & headphones clean? Are they any sneaky devices you use, weird alchemist concoction's or just general Mr. Sheen?

Just standard stuff for me. I found Ikea does a good quality extra large mouse/keyboard mat in plain black for about €15 The mat always gets worn where the mouse is used the most and the gamer branded versions cost 3 times that or more and wear the same or worse. I just replace it whenever it gets in a bad state. Easy to just run a vacuum over it until then. Microfiber cloth and generic screen cleaner is fine for my monitor. I heard somewhere that some OLED screens react badly to microfiber, so might have to look into that more if I upgrade to one.

Internally for the PC its the IT duster, and old make up brush for fan blades and hard to reach corners of the case that arent electronic. I'll take out the GPU and blow it all out on our balcony, once in a while the CPU heatsink needs to be taken off and properly blasted out with fans off, but thats not even every year.
