Hello everyone,
I am making my dream come true and building myself my first ever gaming PC. Though I will mostly play World of Warcraft (playing since 2008) I do not mind spending for the components if it will be future-proof.
The questions I got are about CPU and GPU mainly for WoW. Normally I would probably just go with 14th gen Intel, but I have read some stuff already and it seem like AMD CPUs with 3D cache seem to give quite a boost in World of Warcraft for some reason, it has been reported that it gives anywhere from 15-60% boost in low end FPS in game. My question about CPU to choose from is: Will I see any real difference if I choose Ryzen 9 with 3D cache (7950X3D) versus a cheaper and more recommended for WoW (5800X3D)? Or is there any reason I should go just for Intel CPU?
When it comes to GPU I wonder if it is better to go for and AMD GPU instead of Nvidia? I somewhere read that it is better to pair AMD CPU and GPU together rather than having different brands. If there is no difference here I am thinking to go for RTX4080, if not then most likely AMD 7900XTX, is there any big difference in performance?
Lastly I should say that I do not care about Ray Tracing gimmick one bit.
Thanks for your opinions.
