Building a new PC with 12700F and B660 in 2023

I am looking to build an intel based gaming pc. I am able to find an i7 12700F much cheaper than the i513600K, is the i7 a good future proof CPU for the next 3-4 years? and is there any benefit in upgrading to the i513600K.

HUB's (Techspot) 12/13 gen reviews are grossly different from all others. They're the only ones reporting 7700x is faster than 13700K, while most others have it beaten by 15% .

Just look at their 96.2% (that's relative to 13900k) average for 7700x, while others have it 84.8%.

In the end, a stock 13600k is faster than 12700f, if it's faster than 7950x.

That's why we call it 'AMD Unboxed'. He's an AMD shill for sure.

he has some good reviews too. my point was rather not to take one person's word if multiple sources are available. 13600k is the best value choice for gaming these days, no matter if someone likes it or not.

but I agree, HUB tend to skew results in amd's favor. Remember pointing out in their 9600k vs 3600 review that 9600k:

1. doesn't need a 40 dollar cooler to run well, a $20 one will be more than fine.
2. has added value in igpu in case you need it for troubleshooting, main one dies, or you're waiting for new gpu delivery, which they dismissed.
so all in all, it's gonna be 20 dollars spent on cooler that will be much better than amd's wraith stealth and more than that gained on igpu, as basic, new pcie cards like gt2xx something started at 60-80 at that time.

of course my comment was promptly deleted, as were all non-flattering ones, and their value per frame chart still includes 40 dollars added to 9600k as some sort of added cost lol
