Be careful what you say on steam.

2 years ago i got banned from the pages of my go to game with no right to appeal.

Today i commented on cheaters on another game and all i said was ... 24 pages of complains in 1 thread as well as all the other threads that talk about cheats and added the devs never respond.

I got a spam warning from a moderator ?????? i reported this to steam and before i even got a reply from steam , 30 minutes after my warning the moderator changed his mind and made it a permanent ban.

I spend a lot of time on steam discussions pages and it seems that some players can get very toxic but get away with it but if others say anything that a moderator does not agree with and they hit you with a permanent ban

Steam and other big forums aren't places I would post. Unless its a game I am playing and I have a question. I rarely comment on threads on Steam.

spam ban could be an easy way to deal with a user you may not want to talk to... it may not have been personal.

I can't answer for steam mods as I never will be one. How old was thread? Was it still active? Maybe spam ban is auto answer... I hate to imagine the amount of spam Steam Forums would get... the 30 minute gap might mean Steam asked them about it... hard to say with only one side of conversation.

I've been posting lots on Steam forums for over 20 years now and have never had an issue like that.
