I prefer AMD for the types of games I play, so im probably going to keep it. For the B660 Boards, im not getting a pc any time soon so I will probably use that

Except for the case, everything else is good(top notch). That case tends to be horrible in terms of thermals...in site of having a CoolerMaster badge on it.

Should I use these cpus or use the one I have right now? I'll try to get a b660 board also
I'd wait three days from now and look at the i7 12700F reviews. That cpu will retail for right around $300. That will be the same time the B660 boards will be released. You should be able to get a decent B660 DDR4 board for right around $160.

I assume price is the reason to skip DDR5 now?
Yep. I don't see DDR5 becoming mainstream for the next year or two due to price / shortage of DDR5 RAM. That and the latency with the current DDR5 is horrible. Now if a person only builds once every 5 - 7 years and has a sizeable budget then DDR5 might be the way to go.

B660 DDR4 board + i7 12700F locked cpu > AMD Ryzen 7 5800x

https://www.newegg.com/intel-core-i7-12700f-core-i7-12th-gen/p/N82E16819118359
Intel Core i7-12700F $329.99

Not a fan of Hardware Unboxed but I'll admit I did take a bit of pleasure knowing it must have been killing this shill to do this review. If this review has the Intel cpu beating the 5800x by 5 fps you can bet the farm trusted sites such as Tom's Hardware, TPU and Guru3d will have that same i7 beating the 5800x by 7 - 10 fps.

They haven't arrived yet but they should be showing up any day now on sites such as Newegg, Amazon, Bestbuy, etc ...

Here's a few of those boards to have a look at.
