a way out steam key problem

i just bought a way out on steam and it says on the steam activity page thingy that i just got 2 items the game and the key
the game is in my library but idk from where can i get that key to send it to my friend and play I tried to go to game properties then dlc and there is a game pic and title that says game key I click i go to store main menu and nothing happens

I don't think you need a key to play 2 player. Your friend needs to download the free version off Steam and then you launch the paid copy and invite your friend to the game.

Pretty sure that's how it works.

I searched again and it appears you will need to search on Origin for it (according to EA):
