How long do you hope to keep this PC before upgrading again?

What kind of games will you play? That card & 8GB VRAM may struggle with high-action recent games.

What resolution and refresh rate do you plan to use?

Thanks Brian. I hope to keep the PC for 4-5 years. I'd like to play games like Elden Ring, Diablo IV (when launched) and Path of Exile. I just play for fun, so don't want/need to play anything with the best performance possible. Sorry I'm not sure about resolution and refresh rate. I just wanted to check if I'm making any obvious mistake with this setup, and/or could replace some of the hardware with better alternatives for the same price.

@Anna Lucia can't give an opinion on your choice of gpu without knowing the resolution of your monitor. If you could post the make and model of your monitor on here that would be a big help. Also I don't see a case in your build. If you already have a case you plan on using could you post the make model also please. Looking at your build I can say that Asus board you have chose is geared more for an i5 / i7 but not so much for an unlocked i9 due to its power phase and 50A DrMOS. Also a 240mm AIO for that cpu is cutting it close.

Hi Why_Me, many thanks for your help and sorry it took me so long to reply.

I really liked the build you suggested, and am considering getting all the hardware next week when I'll be in the US (that's the reason I'm not getting the case now, because I don't want to put it in my luggage when I'm returning home - I'll just get a case that fits everything at a later stage).

My monitor is a LG 31.5 VA UHD 4K, 32UN500. I took a look at the specs and found that the Resolution is 3840x2160.

With the info above, can you help me choose the power supply and GPU? Can/Should I keep the pieces I had picked before (GeForce RTX™ 3070 and 850W power supply)?
